This multi-calibre sniper rifle is designed for the hardest and longest shot's of a sniper's career. The HTI, Hard Target Interdiction, rifle is used in New Hayesalian service with a long-range .375 CT custom calibre, or the more-well known and heavy hitting .50 calibre BMG.
The HTI uses a bullpup design to remain a compact and lightweight system, while retaining a full length barrel. This improves stability and manoeuvrability for the user. A streamlined handguard and modular rail system provide operators with room to add accessories, while shaving all possible weight from the rifle. A rubber cheek piece, fully mobile, comes as standard as dows the butt-mounted quick-deploy monopod for extra shooting stability.
High quality polymers, aircraft-grade metals and freefloating barrels and triggers provide durability and ensure ongoing accuracy.
The HTI Interdiction is issued to specialist sniper teams and reconnaissance groups, as well as special forces units. It bridges the gap between the SRS sniper rifle and the M109 antimaterial rifle.
Specialist .375 CT ammunition is standard for the rifle, specially built for the platform. Each round of .375 used in operations is individually hand loaded at the NH Government Ammunition Company in Chenist, Nicosia. The .50 BMG ammunition is more often used in the light-armour piercing role with exceptional effect.
